With the World Indoor Championships coming to an end on Sunday, the indoor season is officially over. We take a look back at how the Sprints & Hurdles squad performed.

 

UK Indoor Championships

Jack Kirby ran a personal best time of 8.06s to make the Men's 60m Hurdle final.

Steph Clitheroe missed the Women's 60m Hurdle final by one thousandth of a second, after running a seasons best time in the heats. 

 

England U17 & U20 Championships

Finlay Marriot fought hard to make the U20 Women's 60m Hurdle final where she finished 6th in a seasons best time (8.82s). 

Chante Williams ran 2 personal best times (8.81s) to make the U17 Girls 60m Hurdles final. 

Parris Johnson ran a 200m personal best time in the 200m (25.32s), beating her previous outdoor best.

 

British University Championships

Marvin Popoola had a busy weekend winning bronze in the Men's 200m in a personal best time (21.52s). Two days before, Marvin had run his quickest 60m time in 3 years (6.82s) to finish an agonising 4th place in the Men's 60m. 

Modupe Shokunbi ran a huge personal best of 7.57s in the Women's 60m to make the final, where she also finished in 4th place.

Reece Young ran a seasons best time in the Men's 60m Hurdles (8.13s) to make the final. 

Max Schopp ran an indoor personal best of 49.66s in the Men's 400m semi final.

 

As well as these brilliant championship performances, Jahde Williams, Lara Pleace and Emily Russell all ran personal best times in the 60m (6.96s, 7.86s) and 60m Hurdles (8.76s) respectively. 

 

The squad is now back in training, preparing for the outdoor season which begins in May.
